The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) is granting Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) the Friend of Farm Bureau award for his work supporting ranchers and farmers during the 117th Congress.

Rep. Carter is being awarded this distinction, in part, for his support of a resolution to create National Future Farmers of America Week, the Growing Climate Solutions Act of 2021, and the Flexible Financing for Rural America Act.

“It is an honor and privilege to be recognized by the AFBF. Supporting farmers in Georgia’s First Congressional District is one of my top priorities, as they are key drivers of our local economy,” said Carter. “From Georgia’s blueberry farmers to Arizona’s cattle ranchers, our country thrives when it has strong policies in place to prop up agricultural industries. If you ate today, thank a farmer!”

“We are pleased to see Congressman Carter receive the AFBF Friend of Farm Bureau award for his continued support of Georgia agriculture during the 117th Congress. We appreciate his work to strengthen our rural communities and advocate for farm-friendly policy. We are fortunate to be able to call Buddy a Friend of Farm Bureau and congratulate him on this well-deserved award,” said Georgia Farm Bureau President Tom McCall.
