“I proudly represent the entire coast of Georgia and recognize the need for new plans to combat climate change,” Carter said. “Over the past decade, the United States has decreased our carbon emissions more than the next twelve countries combined while growing our economy. Moving forward, we need to continue working together on bipartisan solutions to climate change that embrace technology and innovation, not top-down government mandates that will stifle our economy, raise energy prices and hurt job creation."

National Clean Energy Week is dedicated to bipartisanship bringing together policymakers dedicated to advancing clean energy for an emissions-free future. Rep Carter was honored to receive the Congressional Clean Energy Award. He was enthusiastically interviewed by Conservatives for Clean Energy, where he encouraged more conservatives to take up and help with clean energy programs, legislation, and initiatives.
