Rep Carter: CDC Mask Guidance 'Reeks Of Political Meddling'

Georgia

U.S. Representative Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) released the following statement after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated mask guidance recommending vaccinated individuals wear masks indoors:

“The best protection against COVID-19 is a vaccine. Period. Today’s guidance reeks of political meddling by an administration that won’t let science get in its way.  Worst of all, it serves only to further erode confidence in the vaccine among the hesitant."

“School children have suffered long enough at the hands of bureaucrats and teachers unions who’ve made clear education and childhood development don’t rank among their priorities.  But, unfortunately, we know the CDC has bowed to their influence before, and I fear we’re seeing it again today.”
