U.S. Representative Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) released the following statement regarding the lawsuit filed today by the Department of Justice against the State of Georgia seeking to block election reforms enacted earlier this year:

“Washington Democrats have become unhinged in their pursuit of power.  Just days after their attempt to federalize elections - the Corrupt Politicians Act - failed in the Senate, they are now coming after Georgia’s Election Integrity Act.  The fact is this law makes it easier to vote and harder to cheat.  If Joe Biden and his Administration were really concerned with voting rights, they’d be suing states like Delaware, New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut which have more restrictive voting laws than Georgia.”
