Carter Leads Letter Urging Speaker Pelosi to Take Action on Border Crisis

Georgia

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Congressman Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-Ga.) led a letter urging Nancy Pelosi to stand up to the Biden Administration's dangerous immigration policies. This letter comes after Border Patrol agents encountered a record number of unaccompanied children at the border in the month of March alone.

"The current administration's rollback of Trump-era policies has proven to be catastrophic," said Carter. "Speaker Pelosi has previously said, 'if you start endangering children, I will become a lioness.' Instead of becoming a lioness, however, she has been silent. I visited the border, and saw the horrible conditions children are living in firsthand. I led this letter because Democratic leadership must address the disaster at our border."

Carter was joined on the letter by Reps. Van Drew (NJ-02), Harshbarger (TN-01), Brooks (AL-05), Babin (TX-36), and Jackson (TX-13).
