My office is closely monitoring the severe flooding in Northwest Georgia. Do not hesitate to reach out to my office if we can be of assistance. We’re here to help and everyone is praying for the families affected by this devastating storm.

Remember to document your damage with photographs, proceed with cleanup, and file insurance claims as soon as possible.

Community Updates:

  • Dial 911 for emergencies ONLY. To contact 911 for non-emergency situations, call 706-857-0750. To submit a damage report, contact Cindy McGraw at 706-466-9014 or execdirector@chattoogachamber.org
  • There is a boil water advisory in effect for Chattooga County. While running water may be available where you are located, DO NOT CONSUME without boiling.
  • The American Red Cross hotline is available to residents 24/7 at 1-800-RED CROSS
  • Chattooga County schools will resume regular school hours beginning September 13th

If you are distributing emergency supplies or accepting donations for residents affected by the storms in NW GA, please complete this form. A member of my staff will be in touch and we will distribute the most up-to-date information to our community.

The Emergency Management Authority (EMA) has activated 3 main water distribution AND donation centers:
