But just a few hours ago, Senate Republicans voted to remove a monthly $35 out-of-pocket cap on insulin for Americans on private insurance.
Yes, you read that right.
Senate Republicans are now on the record in favor of expensive insulin.
Insulin is a life-saving medication for millions of Americans, but too often, is priced out of reach for patients. That's unacceptable and exactly what Democrats are fighting to change.
Lowering the cost of insulin should be a nonpartisan no-brainer.
I'm still in disbelief that Senate Republicans could be this blatant about prioritizing Big Pharma's profits over saving lives, but their cruelty knows no bounds.
When it comes to slashing taxes for their donor buddies or corporations, Senate Republicans move mountains to get it done. But when it comes to helping Americans afford the cost of life-saving medicines, they're working overtime to block common-sense reforms.
Lowering drug costs for Americans is a matter of life and death, and I won't rest until we get it done.
