DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis announced his support for the bipartisan federal infrastructure framework announced by President Joe Biden. If approved by Congress, this would be the largest long-term investment in American infrastructure in almost a century.

“This is the transformational change we’ve been waiting for. We need to fix our roads and reduce traffic, and this bipartisan effort will get it done. President Biden’s plan invests in our infrastructure, boosts workers and small businesses and will help people and products move around our country for generations to come,” said Colorado Governor Jared Polis. “I appreciate President Biden’s engagement, bipartisan partnership and steadfast support for Coloradans as we build back stronger than before. Thank you to the bipartisan group of Senators who are willing to step up and get real work done.”

The Biden administration’s announcement comes on the heels of Colorado’s historic, bipartisan transportation package Governor Polis signed into law this month which will create a dynamic, 21st Century transportation system that will drive Colorado’s economic comeback, establish a sustainable funding source to improve Colorado roads, invest in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and expand multi-modal and transit options to reduce congestion and improve air quality.
