Jason Bollinger, Democratic candidate to unseat extremist U.S. Senator James Lankford, said he will spend the final three weeks of the run-off campaign on a “Rally for Democracy” tour of Oklahoma.
“We have three weeks to finish our battle to challenge our extremist U.S. Senator,” Bollinger said. “There is nothing short of our Nation’s democracy on the line in this election, and James Lankford has shown himself to be a clear and present threat to our Constitution and institutions.”
“Our tour will show all of Oklahoma that I am the candidate to unseat James Lankford and restore honor to the seat he has sullied with his extremist votes and unwavering and cowardly fealty to those who put party ahead of country.”
The tour will take Bollinger to every corner of Oklahoma with his message of the need to push back against extremism and build a future that is limited only by the indomitable spirit of the people of this state—Bollinger’s lifelong home. Bollinger is the only candidate in this race who is a lifelong Oklahoman and has been a consistent voter in the state since the age of 18.
“While Lankford hides out in Washington and in his stage-managed appearances before partisans like himself, I will go from town-to-town, speaking from my heart about how we can create a state that is as good as its people,” Bollinger asserted.
“Mine is a campaign to strengthen the individual, protect our veterans, improve the quality of life for children, invest in our future, and reflect the honest values of hard-working Oklahomans. The people of this state expect to see and look their U.S. Senator in the eye. That is why I am going to as many communities as possible in these final three weeks of the run-off campaign.”
In addition to himself, Bollinger will be inviting candidates, elected officials, and community leaders who share his values to join him on this trek to the people he seeks to represent. And, while Bollinger is showing strength in fundraising and support from donors, it takes more than that to earn a seat in the United States Senate.
“While other candidates may drop millions in campaign ads and annoying mailers, I am engaging in a campaign that honors people, not deep-pocketed campaign donors and sinister dark money interests,” he said. “Ours is a perfect platform for those who share my vision to join me, and the ‘welcome mat’ is out for them.”
The Rally for Democracy tour represents the homestretch of the run-off campaign as Bollinger seeks to become the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate. It will continue unabated from now until Runoff Election Day on Tuesday, August 23.
