Doug Mastriano has issued the following press release:

Chambersburg, Pennsylvania/September 16, 2022 – Today, Donald Trump Jr. appeared at a rally hosted by Republican nominee for governor of Pennsylvania Doug Mastriano, urging the Commonwealth to elect the GOP candidate this November.

“We need people to get involved, we need to help people like Doug,” Mr. Trump said to an estimated crowd of 1,500 Mastriano supporters in Chambersburg. “There is a reason they are going after him so bad. There is a reason why they are spending so much money against him.”

Mastriano thanked Mr. Trump for his support, highlighting the Democrat Party’s record of failure and the bias in the mainstream media.

“[Democrats and the media] don’t want to talk about over-taxation, they don’t want to talk about energy prices, they don’t want to talk about inflation, gas prices, how hard it is to live in Pennsylvania today,” Mastriano said.

Mr. Trump also reiterated the importance of defeating Democrat nominee Josh Shapiro, noting that Pennsylvanians have greatly suffered under the state’s current Democrat leadership.

“You’ve seen how important the governorships are. You’ve seen how much of a disaster it can be,” Mr. Trump said.

The event follows a recent Trump rally in Pennsylvania featuring the 45th president in which he praised Mastriano for being a champion of liberty.
