Democratic Congressional Candidate in Southwest Florida, Dr. Cindy Banyai, was made aware of recent events between Byron Donalds and his political rivals in Collier County. Several videos showing a scuffle between Donalds’ Senior Advisor, Larry Wilcoxson, and other members of the Collier County Republican Party have surfaced. Mr. Wilcoxson seemed to be shouting at members of the meeting and needed to be physically restrained by local law enforcement.
“It is astonishing to see our Congressman and his staff acting in such an aggressive and unprofessional manner.” Dr. Banyai states. “This is not wholly unexpected though. When you elect criminals, they hire their criminal friends, and engage in criminal behavior.”
Dr. Banyai is referring to Byron Donalds’ criminal past, including felonies for fraud and drugs, as well as the criminal allegations against Larry Wilcoxson including child molestation, assault and battery, and grand theft auto, and the fatal highway accident that Jesse Purdon was involved in shortly after he was seen at a Republican function where alcohol was served.
In a separate video recently made public, Byron Donalds is seen again with Mr. Wilcoxson and Jesse Purdon from his local staff office. In the video, Donalds is seen shouting at a solo woman as he and his team have her cornered in a store. It is believed the woman in the video is Kelly Lichter who has an ongoing lawsuit against Donalds’ wife, Erika, for alleged abuse of power at a charter school in Collier County. Donalds can be heard shouting at the woman “Just drop the lawsuit, Kelly!” among other things.
“Byron Donalds and his goon squad cornering and intimidating people in our community is appalling. This behavior is not only unbecoming of the office, but could be criminal. I encourage our local law enforcement to take a serious look into these events. The House Ethics Committee should also be alerted. I’d say Congressman Donalds should resign, but I think that would interfere with his current power grab.” Dr. Banyai continues.
