When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: Kathy understands the importance of empowering women and girls, protecting access to health care, and fighting for a fair playing field for women. Kathy cosponsored and voted in favor of the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify abortion rights into law. Kathy will never stop fighting to ensure that women can make their own health care decisions, free from government interference. Kathy has also supported legislation to ensure equal economic opportunities for women and girls, including equal pay for equal work, affordable and quality child care, and access to paid family leave. Kathy is also leading legislation that will expand access to maternal health care and decrease racial and economic disparities in health outcomes.
