Washington, DC – Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) issued the following statement today on President Biden’s Community Health Centers Vaccination Program:
“President Biden’s announcement today is great news for the equitable distribution of vaccines in the coming weeks and months. I spoke to President Biden about the need to allocate vaccine doses from the federal government directly to Community Health Centers when I met with him and other House leaders on Friday. I also mentioned the need to provide resources to fully support the Centers.
“By committing to send one million vaccines each week directly to 250 Community Health Centers, the President is ensuring these vaccines get to low-income and other vulnerable populations that have been devastated by this pandemic. This is welcome news and I’m going to work to expand this program to other Community Health Centers in the coming weeks.”
