Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that federally qualified health centers in New Jersey will receive $17,761,572 from the American Rescue Plan. The funding will support construction, expansion, renovation, and other capital improvements to improve health care infrastructure. As Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, Pallone included the funding for health care infrastructure in the American Rescue Plan that Congress passed and was signed into law in March 2021.
“Health centers provide critical care to underserved populations in our state. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been on the frontline of this public health crisis, and we must do everything we can to ensure they have the resources they need to operate effectively,” Pallone said. “These awards will help health care facilities in our community better serve patients, and I’m glad to see funding from the American Rescue Plan reach New Jersey.”
Health Centers in New Jersey’s 6th District received $3,218,554, including:

●Jewish Renaissance Medical Center, Perth Amboy, NJ: $761,657
●Monmouth Family Health Center, Long Branch, NJ: $650,000
●Eric B. Chandler Health Center at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, NJ: $681,588
●Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center, Asbury Park, NJ: $657,003
