This morning, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) held a virtual roundtable with New Hampshire small business owners who have participated in the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). PPP helped retain more than 120,000 jobs in New Hampshire's First District by last August, and Pappas has sought continued feedback from Granite Staters to ensure the program is strengthened in the next round of COVID relief legislation.

Pappas spoke with the owners of the Rubber Group in Rochester, Moonlight Meadery in Londonderry, and Barefoot Medical Spa in Stratham.

"New Hampshire small businesses continue to see a serious impact on their day to day operations because of this pandemic. That's why I have continually fought to strengthen and tailor the Paycheck Protection Program and other relief measures to meet their needs," said Congressman Pappas. "As Congress works on the next round of Covid-19 legislation, I am grateful for the Granite State small business owners that take time to share their experiences and concerns so I can better advocate for them in Congress. Ultimately we must do all we can to ensure our small businesses, workers, Main Street economy weathers this crisis and thrives into the future."

"The Paycheck Protection Program was a lifeline for my business over the last year. The funds we received through the PPP helped us keep our doors open and our employees on the job, and I am grateful for Congressman Pappas's efforts to provide support for small businesses throughout the pandemic," said Robert Pruyn, President of the Rubber Group .

Pappas also announced this week that he will be a co-chair of the Bipartisan House Small Business Caucus for the 117th Congress to better advocate for Granite State Small Businesses.
