Today, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement after President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law.

"Following a year of economic devastation and the loss of more than 500,000 American lives, I am glad to see President Biden swiftly sign a comprehensive COVID relief package into law that will provide the comprehensive federal support necessary to overcome this pandemic," said Congressman Pappas. "Through direct support to those who need it most, help for small businesses to keep their lights on, aid to cities and towns to maintain critical services, extensions of unemployment assistance, and a dramatic increase in our vaccination capabilities we will be able put this virus behind us and get our economy back on track. This legislation will also help Granite Staters rebuild their lives through the expansion of child tax credits, improvements to the Affordable Care Act, and help for families to get back on their feet and back in their homes. Although we will never be able to make up for the heartbreak of this past year, I am committed to ensuring New Hampshire families, businesses, and communities can easily access this new federal support so we can soon be on the other side of this pandemic."
