Residents, Students Across NJ-11 Participated in Program to Say Thank You to New Jersey’s Veterans
Parsippany, NJ –– Today, Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced that her office collected 3,031 Thank You notes to be distributed to veterans across New Jersey, written by residents from the 11th District of New Jersey as a part of her "Thanksgiving Thank Yous for Veterans" Program.
"My team and I are so incredibly grateful for the fantastic response we received for the ‘Thanksgiving Thank Yous for Veterans' program," said Rep. Sherrill. "I'd like to especially thank all the students from across our community who made these wonderful Thank You notes. Our veterans truly deserve this outpouring of support from our residents and I know they appreciate it, especially during the holiday season."
Rep. Sherrill's "Thanksgiving Thank Yous for Veterans" Program provided an opportunity to say thank you to local veterans and active service members in our community. Delivery of notes was made to military and VA facilities; veteran service providers; and VFWs and American Legions across the district and will extend as far as Walter Reed Medical Center in Virginia. Thank Yous collected by Rep. Sherrill's office were also delivered to organizations that serve the 11th District's veterans, including:
