Parsippany, NJ –– Today, Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced a "Thanksgiving Thank You" note program to collect notes of appreciation for our veterans in NJ-11. The campaign launches today on Veterans Day and will culminate with delivery of the notes to veterans by our team in time for Thanksgiving.

Through this drive, Rep. Sherrill is asking residents of NJ-11, particularly students, to write the Thank Yous to show our appreciation for the dedication and bravery of NJ-11's military veteran community and to share good-will as the holiday season approaches.

Residents are invited to drop off their cards and notes to Rep. Sherrill's District Office in Parsippany, starting today through Monday, November 22, 2021. Cards submitted in envelopes should not be sealed or closed unless mailed to the district office.

The cards will be distributed to veterans throughout New Jersey's 11th Congressional District in time for Thanksgiving.

The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm at 8 Wood Hollow Road, Suite 203, Parsippany, NJ 07054.

"New Jersey veterans have bravely served this nation from the Revolutionary War to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Rep. Sherrill. "Veterans Day is the time to come together as a nation to show our appreciation and to honor all who have served in our Armed Forces. That is why I am launching today's Thanksgiving Thank You program to show our local veterans how deeply NJ-11's appreciation for their service runs. I encourage all residents, especially students, to show your thanks and join us in writing a note to a veteran in our community."

If you have any questions, please call the office at (973) 526-5668.
