Representative Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) issued the following statement to remember the twenty-first anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the United States of America on September 11, 2001.

“On a beautiful September day twenty-one years ago, our nation endured the darkest day in our history when America was suddenly attacked by radical terrorists bent on taking innocent lives. Out of the horror and destruction of that day, we vowed to ‘Never Forget’ September 11, 2001, and always to cherish the memory of those who lost their lives.”

“It is also right and proper that we honor and remember the first responders who immediately rushed to help save innocent lives and the men and women of our armed forces who fought the Global War on Terror to ensure there is no safe haven for terrorists.”

“We will always remember those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and the selfless heroes of United Flight 9. May God bless the victims who lost their lives on 9/11 and their families, and may God continue to bless America.”
