WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today spoke at the Annual State Convention of the American Legion in Huntington, West Virginia.

"I am proud to stand alongside the American Legion to support our nation’s heroes," said Congresswoman Miller. "Advocacy efforts, local events, and mentorship programs are just some of the countless ways the America Legion has rallied around our veterans and instilled a lasting sense of appreciation in younger generations. I gladly call them my partner in honoring our veterans, and I am pleased to have their strong support of my resolution allowing the last World War II Medal of Honor recipient, Woody Williams, to lie in state in the U.S. Capitol. I look forward to continuing our work to support, defend, and honor our servicemen and women. God bless our veterans."
