WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) released the following statement on her vote against the CHIPS and Science Act:

“Today, the House passed the CHIPS and Science Act. I'm disgusted with the Democrats who have blatantly lied to the American people, and who are driving us further and further into economic disaster. Crucial reforms to hold China accountable and make America competitive were ripped from the bill. Hours after passing this legislation, Senate Democrats broke their promise to curtail inflation with a massive tax increase and spending package. The American people, who are already feeling the pain of an inflation-fueled recession, are now facing another round of massive spending that will worsen the recession and cause even further pain and suffering.”
