Decatur, IL. – Today, Caterpillar, Inc., a mainstay of downstate Illinois, announced it will relocate its headquarters to the state of Texas. Caterpillar currently employees more than 17,000 Illiosians.

Like many across the state, this news is especially personal for Reising who worked for Caterpillar in Decatur as a teenager.

“It’s the failed economic policies of Democrats that has fueled this mass-exodus out of Illinois. My Democratic opponent Nikki Budzinski supports, and even helped enact, these same failed policies while working for J.B. Pritzker,” said Jesse Reising, candidate for Illinois’ thirteenth congressional district. “Our district needs to elect someone like myself who will support legislation that brings back good-paying jobs and creates a welcoming environment for business to thrive.”
