New Jersey

Washington, DC — Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) will hold a telephone town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 16, to discuss the American Rescue Plan and its impact on New Jersey. Rep. Sherrill will be joined by local officials who will help answer questions from residents about the new programs and aid included in the relief package.

"With the passage of the American Rescue Plan and President Biden signing it into law, our country took a major step forward in improving the federal response to the ongoing dual public health and economic crisis," said Rep. Sherrill. "This package brings relief to our small businesses, working families, and struggling communities who've been dealing with the effects of this virus for over a year. It provides critical state and local funding that I was adamant must be included, and expands COVID vaccine distribution, testing, and contact tracing efforts. Residents have raised questions about how this will affect New Jersey, which is why we've decided to host a town hall exclusively on the ARP to ensure everyone has information about how this relief package impacts their family and community."

Residents are invited to register to call-in to the telephone town hall at sherrill.house.gov/live. The town hall will also stream live at 5:00 p.m. directly on Representative Sherrill's website. To submit a question ahead of the event, please click here.
