Today, the House Rules Committee rejected Rep. Mark Green’s two amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Green’s first amendment removed the Democrat’s radical mandatory draft proposal for women forcing them to register for the draft, and his second amendment changed the Democrats’ proposed mandatory draft to an opt-in system.

Green said, “Throughout the history of our great nation, women have played a pivotal role in our military. I know because I’ve served alongside many of them. However, the Radical Left wants to force all women to sign up for the draft now. I opposed this effort when it was first introduced in the House Armed Services Committee, and I offered two amendments to strip it out. It’s a shame the House Democrat leadership won’t even let my amendments be considered!”
