Today, Tim Ryan’s U.S. Senate campaign released a new ad, “Bullseye,” calling for more investments into public safety—not fewer—and calling out those in the Democratic Party who have pushed trade deals that made it easier for corporations to ship Ohio jobs overseas.
“Defunding the police is way off the mark—we need more cops, not less,” Tim says in the new ad. “My party also got it wrong on the trade deals that sent your jobs overseas… I’ll take on China to bring jobs back to Ohio, and fight for a tax cut that puts more money in your pocket.”
Tim has consistently pushed for more funding for community policing, and brought together the FOP and the NAACP in support of his immersive training bill that would allow law enforcement officers to do their jobs more safely and effectively while building trust with the communities they serve.
Tim has voted against every trade deal that threatened Ohio jobs, and fought for stronger protections for workers in USMCA that earned it the support of the AFL-CIO and other leading labor organizations. Now, as Ohio’s working families feel the squeeze from inflation, he’s pushing for a permanent reauthorization of the Child Tax Credit as part of a package of tax breaks designed to lighten the load on working people and small businesses across the state.

Defunding the police is way off the mark. We need more cops—not less.
My party also got it wrong on the trade deals that sent your jobs overseas.
I’ve always fought those working against you.
That’s why I’ll take on China to bring jobs back to Ohio, and fight for a tax cut that puts more money in your pocket.
You want culture wars? I’m not your guy.
You want a fighter for Ohio? I’m all in.
I’m Tim Ryan and I approve this message.
