Today, Democrats rejected an amendment from Rep. Mark Green to the FY2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to officially ban U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry from using military aircraft transportation (MILAIR) indefinitely.

Green said, “Special Envoy Kerry showcased his hypocrisy firsthand when he endorsed the proposed Green New Deal last year while he freely used military aircraft transportation. For years, Special Envoy Kerry has browbeat the American people about their carbon footprint and consumption of fossil fuels. Meanwhile, he seems to have no problem benefitting from American taxpayer dollar-funded military aircraft to jet set around the world.”
