Governor Polis Appoints Joseph D. Findley to the 8th Judicial District Court

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Joseph D. Findley to the 8th Judicial District Court. This vacancy is created by the retirement of the Honorable Julie Kunce Field, and is effective October 8, 2021.

Mr. Findley is a partner at Kaufman, Findley, & Smith, P.C., a position he has held since 2011. He also serves as Public Administrator for the 8th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2018. His practice consists primarily of estate planning, conservator services, real estate, contracts, and landlord-tenant matters. Previously, Mr. Findley was an attorney with Kaufman, Findley & Smith, P.C. (2006-2011), and Deputy Public Administrator for the 8th Judicial District (2008-2018). Mr. Findley earned his B.S. and B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1999 and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2005.
