DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Ashley R. Andrews to the Pitkin County Court in the 9th Judicial District. This vacancy is created by the retirement of the Honorable Erin Fernandez-Ely, and is effective on October 31, 2021.

Ms. Andrews is a Lead Attorney at the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office in the 9th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2019. Her practice consists of criminal defense. Previously, Ms. Andrews was a Lead Attorney for the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office in the 2nd Judicial District (2013-2019), and a Contract Attorney at Reilly Pozner, LLP (2012-2013). Ms. Andrews earned her B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 2007, and her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2012.
