RALEIGH: Candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley held community conversations in Guilford and Mecklenburg counties to hear from voters and discuss her commitment to lowering costs for North Carolinians and how she can support North Carolinians in the Senate. She also spoke to students at UNC Greensboro and Johnson C. Smith University about her commitment to fighting for students and strengthening North Carolina for generations to come.

“I heard from many North Carolinians about the impact of rising costs on their families–from high insulin and prescription drug prices to the challenges of finding good-paying jobs,” said Cheri Beasley. “As the mother of college-aged twin sons who have gone through numerous treatments, surgeries, and medications to live healthy lives, this is personal to me, and in the Senate I’ll fight for North Carolina families like I’ve fought for my own.”

Cheri also held a roundtable in Gastonia with North Carolinians to discuss the need to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

The campaign is holding stops statewide with events to reach voters across the state, including roundtables focused on hearing from small business owners, community conversations on issues that matter to North Carolinians like lowering costs, supporting North Carolina’s farmers, and creating a Made-in-America economy, tours of vocational and training facilities, North Carolina companies, and more.
