Would you rather have someone like you representing you?
Or would you prefer someone who has never done the things you have done, and has no idea about the hardships you face daily? It is time we as a country stop electing people who are trying to be something to impress you and started electing people who are you. Anyone who is saying what they think you want to hear today will do the same thing to tomorrow, and they will never hesitate to lie to you.
That is NOT me.
Integrity and Honor are among my highest values. My wife, children and grandchildren will attest to this.
I have been a small business owner for over 40 years. I know the problems small business owners face everyday.
I have worked hard for a living my entire life. Things I need done have to be done by me, I have no servants.
When I wanted a bicycle at 12 years old, I paid for it myself (I had been working for several years at that point).
When I wanted a dirt bike at 15 years old I purchased it with funds I acquired from working.
When I wanted a car at 17 years old, I again purchased it with funds from my own paychecks. Then I rebuilt the engine doing 97% of the work myself, including the machining.
When my home needs minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, roofing, HVAC, or exterior repairs, I perform them (I can do the big ones, but there is not always ROI in that).
When my car requires minor repairs, I perform them (again the ROI thing..).
When this web site, or my wife’s web site need development, David F. Russ Professional Services does the work (ie ME).
There have been times when I have been “between homes.”
I have used mass transit, bicycles, motor cycles, cars, my feet, and even my thumb to get to work.
I have been promoted at work, and I have lost jobs.
I have had amazing times of joy and love with my family, and we have had hardships as well. My 3 year old grandson dealing with cancer and draconian lock down measures that kept him away from his family was challenging.
My experiences with the law of this land are from a position of having to deal with, and help others work with those laws. I understand how laws, legal and court procedures work.
I have never received special treatment under the law, and believe that no one should.
I cook for my wife regularly.
I am educated and experienced in almost every issue that I might face in Washington DC, and I understand how decisions made in Washington DC affect you.
I am Like You. I will fight for your family and their future.
I will always consider your opinions and needs.
I will never tell you that anything in Government is, “…too complicated for you to understand.”
