Today, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) released the following statement in response to President Biden’s announced plan to forgive $10,000 in student loan debt for individuals earning up to $125,000 per year:

“President Biden’s latest scheme will force taxpayers to fund higher education for the wealthy elite. Hardworking Americans with jobs that don’t require a college diploma should not be forced to pay for someone else’s Gender Studies degree.”
