MOORESTOWN, NJ – Burlington County business owner and Republican candidate for Congress Bob Healey today issued the following statement:

“In and out of government, Andy Kim has aligned with the most extreme factions of the Democratic Party.

After serving in the Obama Administration, Andy Kim immediately went on to found the Rise Stronger organization.1 Among many other radical positions taken by the organization, Rise Stronger’s anti-police sentiments were a precursor to the now-infamous ‘Defund the Police’ movement. In a public display of contempt for law enforcement, Rise Stronger also listed a book by a convicted cop killer in their so-called “Library of Resistance.”2

Following this pattern of left wing activism, once elected to Congress, Andy’s first step was to join the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC). This innocuous sounding group is recognized by Congress’ watchers as the most strident leftist group in the House. Founded by self-described socialist, Rep. Bernie Sanders, the CPC is the policy center for every hard left, woke idea, from gutting the defense budget to halting energy development to open borders.

Of the ten Democrats in the New Jersey Congressional delegation, Andy is joined by only three Democrats happily endorsing the CPC agenda.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus can be considered a safe haven for ‘Defund the Police’ Democrats with its most prominent members Reps. Jayapal, Ocasio-Cortez and Bush all making absurd statements on crime, bail reform and defunding/dismantling the police.”3
