MOORESTOWN, NJ— Burlington County business owner and congressional challenger Bob Healey today issued the following statement:

“While Andy Kim always finds time to tweet and post on topics from A to Z, the Congressman has been mute about what federal action should be taken to combat inflation.

On Rep. Kim’s Official Congressional website, the page that lists issues important to him, nowhere to be found is the subject of inflation discussed.

Since the start of 2022, Andy and his taxpayer subsidized staff have published 69 press statements— only three have referenced inflation – all under the cynically titled ‘Inflation Reduction Act,’ which the Wharton School at UPENN and the  nonpartisan Tax Foundation’s analysis suggests will have zero to negligible impact on inflation.  

Notwithstanding this short-lived PR push, Rep. Kim has either been absent or silent in addressing the serious steps needed to arrest inflation.

Seniors who largely live off income from investments and Social Security or pensions, have watched their economic security erode thanks to inflation at a four-decade high, and Andy Kim has nothing to say.

Home buyers are seeing their opportunity to buy a house diminish as mortgage rates rise, and Andy Kim has nothing to say.

Hard working Americans watch as this Administration pumps trillions into the economy, adding fuel to the inflation fire, and Andy just stands on the sideline.

Third district voters need a strong voice, a serious representative who will focus on issues that matter. We cannot afford a partisan cheerleader like Andy Kim who lacks the courage to challenge his party’s orthodoxy. What self-proclaimed moderate votes 100% of the time with his party’s President?

Rep. Kim needs to explain to voters what specific steps he’s taking to help solve the real problems like inflation that all New Jerseyans face.”
