MOORESTOWN, NJ – Yesterday, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) held his monthly town hall to discuss service, volunteerism, and why they're both such an important part of healing our country.

"From volunteering at a local community food bank to cleaning up our beautiful beaches in Ocean County, service comes in many forms. It was a pleasure to speak with some phenomenal individuals from Burlington and Ocean Counties, who volunteer and recognize the diverse ways we can bridge divides and come together as a country," said Congressman Kim. "I look forward to continuing this conversation and working together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy of service to our neighbors."

During the town hall, Congressman Kim discussed the legacy of Dr. King and the importance of service to healing the growing political divisions in our country. He also highlighted community service opportunities throughout Burlington and Ocean Counties, discussed the new veterans health clinic coming to Toms River, N.J., and provided an update on the most recent news regarding the Omicron variant.

A full recording of the town hall event can be found here. Congressman Kim was joined by Michael Pippin, Director of the Volunteer Center of Burlington County, and Rowena Madden, Executive Director of the New Jersey Office of Volunteerism, at the New Jersey Department of State.
