MOORESTOWN, NJ — Burlington County businessman and congressional challenger Bob Healey today issued the following statement:

“Rep. Andy Kim’s out today posting and tweeting claims he is a supporter of our men and women in blue, yet his past shows he’s been an active, rabid opponent of law enforcement.

The record shows Andy Kim founded a radical, far-left resistance group that promoted books by cop killers.1 And, the record shows Andy Kim has been an active member of the group of House radicals that brought America the disastrous ‘defund the police’ concept.

Since this crazy policy has been implemented along with no bail laws, crime is at an all-time high across America, and House Democrats now fear voter retribution and they are scrambling to show they support local law enforcement.2

Over the last two years, Congressman Kim has stayed silent while his fellow Progressive Caucus colleagues have trashed the police suggesting it is law enforcement not criminals that are the real problem.

Despite all of the anti-police rhetoric, Andy Kim has never once publicly condemned his fellow caucus members like Reps. Cori Bush, Ocasio-Cortez, or Omar, who pushed these crazy policies and have made our police targets for simply doing their jobs.

A true friend of law enforcement would have had the courage to stand up and defend the individuals who every day are putting their lives on the line to protect us, but not Andy Kim.

Congressman Kim’s been AWOL in this important debate, doing what Washington politicians do best: acting one way in Congress and then when he’s back in the district presenting himself quite differently.

I predict the voters won’t be fooled by Andy Kim’s new found claim he’s a supporter of our police.”
