Andy Kim for Congress: Announces 2022 Congressional Art Competition

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03)announced that his office is accepting submissions for the 2022 Congressional Art Competition, which gives high school students from Burlington and Ocean Counties the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in the U.S Capitol Building. Students will have until Friday, April 22nd to submit artwork.

"The Congressional Art Competition is a chance to recognize incredible young artists here in Burlington and Ocean Counties," said Congressman Kim. "I am looking forward to seeing immense talent on display in this competition and excited to have one of our bright young artists' work displayed in the Capitol building."

The Congressional Art Competition is held each spring and is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The competition is open to all high school students and the winning artwork is displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on the House of Representatives' Congressional Art Competition page.

Previous Congressional Art Competition winners from New Jersey's Third Congressional District include Kathleen Palmera former student of Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ, Kaeleigh Mackiewicz, a former student of Cinnaminson High School in Cinnaminson, NJ, and Ariel Etzel, a former student of Point Pleasant Borough High School in Point Pleasant, NJ.
