Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today supported a Senate resolution that would invalidate President Biden’s Vaccine mandates on American businesses. The resolution passed the Senate by a bipartisan vote of 52-48.
“I have always encouraged Iowans to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their families from the virus. If anyone has doubts about the vaccine, they ought to talk to their doctor to get the best advice. But the Biden Administration thinks that Americans can’t be trusted to make an informed decision on their own. Heavy handed federal mandates erode freedom and place undue burdens on businesses and workers at the worst possible time,” Grassley said.
Grassley and a bipartisan group of colleagues sponsored the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution, which allows Congress to revoke an administrative rule. CRAs are guaranteed a vote on the Senate floor and require a simple majority vote to pass.
