PEMBERTON N.J. – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03)announced today that the William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery has been awarded a grant from the VA.
“Our veterans and their families have sacrificed so much for our country, we need to make sure we honor them and their memory as best we can,” said Congressman Kim. “With these federal funds, I’m glad to see we’re upholding our promise to the families of loved ones that have passed; honoring their memory and making sure that Doyle cemetery is up to the standards our veterans and their families deserve.”
The National Cemetery Administration(NCA) announced that theVeterans Cemetery Grants Program (VCGP)has awarded a grant of up to $5,529,378 to the state of New Jersey for the expansion ofBrigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery currently serves more than 318,000 Veterans and their eligible family members living within 75 miles of the cemetery. The grant will fund 5000 columbarium niches, landscaping, irrigation well, irrigation pump and automated irrigation system, and supporting infrastructure on approximately 1.10 acres of land.
