Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) issued the following statement regarding this morning’s announcement of a continued rise in consumer price inflation to 8.5 percent.
“With today’s 8.5 percent inflation, Iowa families are feeling the hurt of President Biden’s choices. He ignored the advice of Dr. Larry Summers and other respected economists, who warned that Democrats’ reckless spending could lead to inflation not seen in a generation. So far this year, I’ve held Q&As in 34 counties, and inflation comes up at every single one of them. I can tell you Iowans are very fearful of this level of inflation.”
