Jon Chuba: Voting

No matter who you plan to vote for in this election, or any election, it is important for us to ensure that every voice is heard once and only once, and that every voter is a living and legal citizen.

While I believe in the work of our election officers and volunteers, it is essential that we require voter ID to uphold the integrity of our elections. For citizens who do not drive, each state must offer an alternative ID that can be easily obtained for this purpose.

Furthermore, states need to audit their current voter database to ensure information is up-to-date and accurate. States also need to implement laws that notify the Division of Elections when a citizen moves or dies in order to prevent the retention of inaccurate data.
