NORTH JERSEY — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer hosted a live telephone town hall with new voters of New Jersey’s Fifth District to discuss and answer questions about his Affordability Agenda for Jersey, and his bipartisan commonsense approach to working with both parties to cut taxes for families and small businesses, improve our infrastructure, and fight to improve benefits and care for our veterans and seniors — including lowering prescription drug prices, like insulin, and capping out of pocket costs.

Gottheimer also discussed how he is fighting to protect our communities, including his bipartisan legislation — the Invest to Protect Act — to invest in local law enforcement to keep our first responders and communities safe, his bipartisan work on gun and school safety, his fight to protect a woman’s right to choose, and how he’s helped claw back more of our tax dollars from Washington to North Jersey to ensure our children and families have clean drinking water and to lower taxes.

Every ten years districts are redrawn and there are North Jersey residents who will soon be part of the Fifth District.

“My Telephone Town Hall allowed me to connect with North Jersey residents, who will soon be part of the Fifth District, to answer their questions and discuss my Affordability Agenda for Jersey, and my bipartisan commonsense approach to working with both parties to cut taxes for families and small businesses, invest in law enforcement, improve our infrastructure, and fight to improve benefits and care for our veterans and seniors — including lowering prescription drug prices, like insulin, and capping out of pocket costs,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. “I will continue working hard to help keep more hard-earned dollars in the pockets of our hardworking families, and support our law enforcement and first responders to make our communities safer.”
