REPRESENTATIVE SALAZAR URGES BIDEN NOT TO INVITE CUBA TO THE SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS

Today, Representative María Elvira Salazar ( FL-27 ) sent President Biden a letter urging him to listen to the clear and repeated calls from the Cuban community in exile not to invite the murderous Díaz-Canel / Castro regime to the next Summit of the Americas, after media reports that his Administration is considering extending invitations to representatives of the Havana regime.  

In the letter, Congresswoman Salazar reminded the Administration that her own State Department continues to consider Cuba as a State Sponsor of Terrorism that is dedicated to human trafficking and that there is still time to make the right decision in the name of Democracy and Human Rights. The congresswoman also demanded that the President stop empowering dictators and ignoring democratic allies in Latin America.
