On September 13, 2022, The New England Council’s Financial Services Committee met with U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) in Boston, following a Capitol Hill Report breakfast event. Rep. Auchincloss is currently the Vice Chair of the House Financial Services Committee and also serves as a member of the Committee’s Taskforce on Financial Technology.
Financial Services Committee members representing a variety of financial services businesses across New England participated in this small group discussion with the Congressman. The discussion covered a wide variety of issues including the impact of climate change on the insurance industry, ESG guidance, policy before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and regulation of the Federal Home Loan Bank.
