The Border Crisis:
"Well, look, let's say it's his fault [ President Biden ], because he's the head of this government. It is his fault and that of the entire administration, and it is also the fault of the vice president, who has named her as the ‘ zar ’ to deal with the immigration issue and has not approached, because the problem is that the vice president does not want to get muddy with what is called immigration and President Biden does not want to get involved with that either.
"But then, at the same time, our community suffers and the poor Haitians who wanted to come and have the same privilege they had before them last month, other Central American brothers have not given it to him. So this is a big problem that not only focuses on what happened in Del Río with the Haitian brothers, but everyone has the problem, especially us who are Hispanic."
The Plan “ Dignity ”:
"The 'dignity' plan is a plan that it gives to the political class, both parties, the opportunity to give dignity to those brothers who have been in the country for more than 5 years, who do not have a criminal record, who have American children, who are working, who are paying taxes, but who are in the dark. These people do not live in a dignified way and we, with our dignity plan, want to give them for 10 years the possibility immediately that they have a 'dignity visa' and that they can continue to give the economic benefit to them, their family and the country.
"In year 11, if they decide to be Americans, who we know that not necessarily many of our people want to become American citizens, then they can enter the step of redemption. But right now, the one who is listening to me and who wants to have dignity and come out of the dark and not be more afraid that the “ migrates ” is deporting him, this is a plan that gives you that chance to live.
"Republicans, I am convincing you. Now, I need the Democrats to be with me, because unfortunately we know that the Democrats have been the party that has always promised that they will give them the ‘ path to citizenship,’ that if the passage to citizenship, that if the dreamers, that if they give them, no more. Now we have to everyone sit at the table, agree and give our people dignity, what they really want."
The Need to Secure The Border:
"No country can have an open border because drugs, criminals, weapons and everything we do not want enter there. Everyone knows that there has to be a guarded border and those people who are entering now, our Latin American brothers, who are now entering clandestinely, I am sure that what they want is to enter with dignity. Then you have to raise the different fees and visas that are needed for those people who want to come to work. "
