Political outsider, successful business leader, and Republican nominee for U.S. Senate Joe O'Dea and his wife, Celeste, released the following video as part of a continued celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Joe: Hi I’m Joe O’Dea, candidate for the US Senate here in Colorado, and this is Hispanic Heritage Month. Celeste and I invite everyone to come together to celebrate Colorado’s Hispanic and Latino community.
Celeste: America is a nation of immigrants. And the Hispanic and Latino community is foundational to Colorado’s history. It’s our heritage.
Joe: We here in Colorado are blessed to be home to a strong community of over 1.2 million Hispanics and Latinos all seeking to live out their own American Dream.
Celeste: And Hispanic Heritage Month is very personal to Joe and I because it’s part of our story. My grandparents made the hard decision to leave Mexico and come to America for a better life. Because of their sacrifice, my mom, my siblings, and I were able to achieve our American Dream.
Joe: Celeste and I are truly blessed to have our own construction company, today it employs over 300 families and over 80% of our workers are Hispanic and Latino. And for the last twenty years I’ve been honored to work alongside and learn from those individuals every day. They’re our family.
Joe: Hispanic and Latino Coloradans are business owners, teachers, military service members, healthcare providers, law enforcement officers and so much more. This vibrant community moves our state forward.
Celeste: Through food, music, traditions, and beautiful artwork, Hispanic and Latino Coloradans enrich our state and its culture.
Joe: From Celeste and myself, and the rest of Joe’s Crew, happy Hispanic Heritage Month.
Celeste: Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana.
