Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar ( FL-27 ) on Wednesday issued the following statement after she was selected to serve on the House Committee on Small Business:
“ From Calle Ocho to Flagler St., from Bird Road to Collins Avenue, and from Old Cutler Road to Miracle Mile, small businesses are the foundation of our community. During these difficult times, our local job creators have been absolutely devastated. I am committed to working in a bipartisan fashion to restore our economy and deliver much-needed COVID relief for our struggling South Florida small business owners, ” said Congresswoman Salazar.
“ Small businesses are the backbone of this great nation, and now more than ever, our hardworking men and women must be granted the opportunity to open their doors and contribute to the economy. I am excited to welcome Congresswoman Salazar as a recommended new member of the House Committee on Small Business as I know she will be essential in defending Main Street from extensive regulations while ensuring responsible government assistance for our nation’s small businesses. As Lead Republican, I look forward to working alongside all of the members on this committee and fighting for America’s small businesses, entrepreneurs, and innovators. ” said Ranking Member Blaine Luetkemeyer.
Congresswoman Salazar represents Florida’s beautiful 27th Congressional District, which includes most of the City of Miami, its suburbs, and the beaches. She also serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
