“ We have a fundamental obligation to provide safe-haven for those fleing tyranny and oppression. This act of solidarity provides our Venezuelan exile community with much-needed assurance during these unprecedented times. I amend my dear friend and colleague, Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart, for his work with the administration and his unwavering commitment to the plight of the Venezuelan people.
“ I will never stop fighting for this just cause until Venezuela is freed from the murderous, socialist Maduro regime and is once again a vibrant, prosperous democracy that respects the rule of law ” said Congresswoman Salazar.

This act of solidarity offers our community of Venezuelan exiles the security they so badly need during these unprecedented times. “ I congratulate my friend and colleague, Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart, for their work together with this administration and their faultless commitment to the cause of the Venezuelan people. For decades, Congressman Díaz-Balart has fought tirelessly to pass sanctions against human rights violators, to provide millions of dollars in humanitarian aid and to support democratic forces within Venezuela. "I will never stop fighting for this cause until Venezuela is liberated from the socialist regime,illegitimate and murderous of Nicolás Maduro and once again be a prosperous democracy where the rule of law ” reigns, said Congresswoman Salazar.
