USDA Rural Development Awards $130,000 To Norton For Law Enforcement Vehicles

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded a grant of $50,000 and a loan of $80,000 to the City of Norton to purchase two law enforcement vehicles. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

“Law enforcement and first responders have difficult jobs under any circumstances, but personnel and agencies in rural areas face added challenges, such as outdated equipment. USDA Rural Development’s award of $130,000 will help meet the public safety needs of the City of Norton.”
