In response to President Joe Biden announcing that the first piece of legislation he would send to the next Congress would be on abortion, veterans advocate and U.S. Senate candidate Tiffany Smiley today released the following statement:

"Our economy is sliding into recession, deadly narcotics are pouring through our southern border, crime has a chokehold on our communities - but President Biden's top legislative priority tackles none of these crises. While Patty Murray just goes along, doing more for Washington D.C. than Washington state, I will focus on Washington State’s priorities – not Washington D.C.’s –  when I'm in the U.S. Senate. It's time to turn crisis into hope and that's what my Agenda for Recovery and Reform will achieve."
