Bacon: Private Sector No Match For Russian, Chinese Cyber-Attacks

Russia’s war on Ukraine has only upped the concern of Russia Cyber-attacks against the United States.

Omaha area Congressman Don Bacon continues to push legislation that would ultimately help protect private industry from other nations. Bacon’s bill, introduced last fall, would require the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a thorough review of its Cyber-response plans—including private sector operations—and recommend necessary fixes.

“We have to be candid, the private sector is not able to go up against a Russian Cyber-attack that’s government organized or government aided and same with Chinese Cyber-attics,” says Bacon.
